Old Style Sawmill

Spent a day at a local sawmill taking HD video.
This type of sawmill is not manufactured anymore
due to safety concerns. The size of the blade alone
kept my interest most of the day.
Video to be posted soon...

Grasshopper in Detail

A close up view of the detail on a Grasshopper.
It was soaking up the sun on my sweet corn.

Cascade Mountain

Lance, Cody and I on the summit of Cascade
Mountain on 4th of July weekend. The trip was
a great one. Lance got is first high peaks out of the
way, Cody is on number 5. We had the summit to
ourselves for about an hour. To top it off, we saw
a small black bear on the trail.

Signs of Spring

I'm looking for help at identifying this plant. I thought it was
something called "skunk cabbage" , but the images I've found
online of it aren't the same. Any ideas? At any rate, it grows
fast in the spring compared to everything else in the woods.
It's also very beautiful to photograph.

Moose Mountain Pond

Another photo taken at Moose Mountain Pond
Lean-to. My brother Kyle, roasting a hot dog.
Shame the trout were fished out over the winter
illegally and we weren't able to catch any. Why
are people so ignorant!?

Crown Point Portraits

The first of many portraits to come. My plan
is to take portaits of residents of my hometown
of Crown Point. If for nothing else, documentation
of the interesting individuals here. This first one is
of my fiance, using the historic fort Crown Point
barrack wall as a background.

Champlain Bridge Demolition

I was assigned by Adirondack Explorer Magazine to shoot the demolition of the bridge on December 28th, 2009. Having grown up in Crown Point it was bitter sweet to experience first hand. Due to the weather the images and video I got were far from what i expected.

Avalanche Lake

Avalanche Lake on our way out of Mount Colden. This route involves many ladders, and boulder hopping, but well worth it.

Mount Colden

Looking at the summit of Mt. Colden from the false summit/lookout. About half-way through our 46 high peaks which my brother and I have now finished. Looking forward to doing the trapdike some day!

Noonmark, Another Winter Hike

Another great winter hike, Noonmark Mountain. Jaw dropping views of the great range and Mt. Marcy. This summit offers 360 degrees of beauty!

Hurricane Mountain snowshoe

The A.P.A. plans to tear down this old fire tower in the near future. Having never seen it, I decided to go for a short hike on a beautiful winter day in the Adirondacks.
